But as someone who grew up never reading a piece of fiction, I’m living proof that not being a bookworm doesn’t spell doom for your intellectual future.

My journey from a kid who avoided books to a professor and author of more words than I read before I turned thirty shows that success isn’t about loving every page you read — it’s about finding purpose and relevance in what you do.
