Legacy
Transmission fragments from a distant lifeless planet suggested an advanced civilization once thrived, ruled by two leaders.
The first produced “tweets” in cryptic, grandiose proclamations, often about walls, greatness, and self-adulation.
The second spoke through endless challenges and extravagant generosity fueled by “likes,” “subscribes,” and the ritual smashing of bells.
The Epsilonian scholars portrayed it as a land of endless wealth distributed through elaborate games and random acts of kindness, with a poetic form of governance, where leaders expressed visions in metaphorical brevity.
Admiring the blend of bold leadership and communal generosity, the Epsilonians modeled their society on these principles, enacting laws where leaders communicated only through 140-character maxims and wealth was given away in grand spectacles.
Generations passed and the Epsilonian civilization fell into ruin.
On the brink of collapse, they finally realized that truth hides in the spaces between the loudest voices.
The scholars went back to the transmission and discovered a hidden fragment, a final message from a failed civilization.
